When La seconda pelle delle cose goes through a recovery job, nothing is left to chance. That armchair, an original 1950s model by the great Italian designer Gigi Radice, perfectly represents a leading example.
At the beginning, the armchair had its original upholstery, a now unrecoverable “Red Orsetto”, that was very popular in those years.
Referring also to the artistic currents of the period, well represented by the paintings by Marcello Guidi, coming from the 50s too, our research led us to choose an extraordinary three-dimensional, futuristic-themed velvet, produced by Casal.
Yet another “miracle” of style has been accomplished. The armchair, aesthetically and philologically correct, went to a new life, with its “seconda pelle”, that means second skin.
